I will be hosted by Thrive Urban Wellness
471 Timothy Street, Newmarket

I have lots of info below should you need it.

See an interactive map showing where each artist will be (and a sample of their work) here. There will be printed brochures available at each location and the Newmarket ArtWalk is also navigable through the Tourika app.

Scroll down for parking and accessibility information.

Why not make a day of it and also:

  • enjoy our fabulous Main Street with its many restaurants and shops

  • enjoy some Culture Days performances and activities in local venues

  • stroll around the Newmarket Farmers' Market (8am-1pm) at Riverwalk Commons 200 Doug Duncan Dr.

  • take a walk around “Fairy Lake” park which is just south of Water St., southeast of the base of Main Street near the waterfall

  • stay overnight at The Postmark Hotel, a beautiful new boutique hotel right on Main St. and make a weekend of it

Accessibility:
The location I am showing in is at street level, but has a 3.5-inch step to go up at the main door.

The following locations are wheelchair accessible (letters "B", "C" etc are used in the brochure and interactive map to identify locations):

B – Newmarket Public Library – 438 Park Ave (has limited accessible parking)
C – Old Town Hall – 460 Botsford St. (has limited accessible parking)
F – Replenish General Store – 208 Main St. South
H – Metropolis Mercantile + Café – 185 Main St. South (street level)
K – Newmarket Community Centre 200 Doug Duncan Drive (has at least 6 accessible parking spots)

Parking:
Note: On Saturday from 5am-1pm, Timothy Street will be closed between Doug Duncan Drive and Cedar Street for the farmer’s market, so Timothy will not be a through street during that timeframe. Parking will be busier while the market is running.

There are several parking areas, most of which are marked on the map below by number below and are within a 1-10 minute walk (see number key below image).

1 -  Public lot north of the community center at the end of Doug Duncan Drive – this has recently been expanded northwards and you can park in both the paved and gravel areas.
2 & 3 -  Along Doug Duncan Drive
4 - Market Square between the Old Town Hall and the Newmarket Public Library
5 - “All Our Kids Playpark” parking lot
6 & 7 - Fairy Lake Park has 4 parking areas – the first two are shown on the map.
8 - Lot beside Gorman Pool on Church St. near D’Arcy St.

There is also street parking on side streets west of historic Main St. But take note of parking time limits on nearby signs.

There are 6 accessible parking spaces near the north end of the community center (south end of #1 lot on map) There are 3 more along the south section of Doug Duncan Drive beside the green space (#3 on map below, west side).
